Sometimes the hardest thing about reviewing films is trying to find the good in something so, so terrible.
Luckily I can sum up the good points about this movie with 5 words; the cat is pretty cute.
So moving on…
Ever hear or read a film synopsis and think “that must be a joke?” Well I thought that when I first heard about Nine Lives. Even whilst I was watching it I could scarcely believe that what I was seeing had ever been green lit.
It’s not just the fact it is terrible, because boy is it! It’s the fact that such reputable actors ever signed onto this. It’s the fact that in 2016 a film like this is allowed to exist.
Nine Lives is a film so bad the 90s would reject it. It is devoid of any redeeming qualities.
It is so painfully unfunny, catastrophically dull and irrevocably stupid. Add to this some of the worst visual effects I’ve ever seen and a storyline that is so dumb and predictable, that I knew exactly how it would pan out within the first 5 minutes.
I saw this movie so you don’t have to. I lost brain cells and an hour and a half of my life that I will never get back. Please, save yourselves. Do not watch this film!
Agree with everything I’ve said, or am I a totally misguided idiot who has got it all wrong? Let me know in the comments below!
